Braintree Station (Braintree)

Braintree Station is the railway station that serves the market town of Braintree in Essex.

It is just a few minutes walk from the town centre.

This is the second station on the site, the first having closed in 1869.

Braintree is the terminus of a branch line from Witham. Trains arrive by way of White Notley, Cressing and a new station at Braintree Freeport.

The line originally continued to Felsted, Dunmow and Bishops Stortford.
