Auckland Castle Deer House (Bishop Auckland)

Auckland Castle Deer House is a historic building at Bishop Auckland in County Durham.

A charming building, it was erected in 1760 in the parkland of Auckland Castle, the palace of the Bishops of Durham.

The purpose was to give shelter for the park`s deer, and a place for them to find food.

It is now in the care of English Heritage.
