Benfleet Station (Benfleet)
Benfleet Station serves the Essexvillage of Benfleet.
It is on the line from Fenchurch Street Station in London to Southend and Shoeburyness.
The line originally ran via Grays and Tilbury, but a shorter route was later laid down through Laindon and Pitsea.
Between Benfleet and Leigh, the line is overlooked by the spectacular ruins of Hadleigh Castle, famously painted by John Constable.
Buses run from Benfleet Station to Canvey Island on the other side of the creek.
