St. Mary`s Church (Barkby)

St. Mary`s is the parish church of Barkby in Leicestershire.

It is an ironstone church, dating largely from the 13th century, and has some curious and unique tracery patterns.

The West tower is of roughly the same date, and would have been complete before 1300.

There is a gallery, which is now used for the organ, as well as an upper gallery originally for the musicians.
