Barkby Hall (Barkby)

Barkby Hall is situated in the Leicestershire village of Barkby.

It has been the seat of the Pochin family since the early 17th century.

A gateway leads from the hall into the churchyard, and this gateway has a date 1536, evidently from an earlier house.

The Hall was rebuilt in 1810, but damaged by fire in 1847 and altered and reduced in size by R. W. Johnson in 1870.
