King`s Head (Aylesbury)
The King`s Head is a historic coaching inn at Aylesbury.
It is situated in King`s Head Passage, off the Market Square.
The building, lovingly restored, dates from 1455 and features mediaeval stained glass windows, extensive timber framing and a central cobbled courtyard.
Oliver Cromwell stayed at the King`s Head in 1651, and there are connections with the Rothschild family.
It also contains a second hand bookshop and a coffee shop.
