Wing
Wing is a picturesque village in Rutland, four miles to the South East of Oakham, the county town.
It stands away from major roads, on the higher ground above the deep valley carved out by the River Chater.
St. Peter and St. Paul's Church dates back to the 12th century, and has Norman stonework.
Wing is best known for its mediaeval turf maze, with a diameter of 40 feet. Once fairly common in England, there are now only a few such mazes left in existence.
