Tideswell
Tideswell is a small town in Derbyshire, 6 miles from Buxton.
It stands between limestone dales and uplands in the Peak District, close to the outstanding Miller`s Dale and Monsal Dale.
The large cruciform St. John the Baptist church is known as "the Cathedral of the Peak". It was built in the 14th century over a period of 75 years, and has an outstanding pinnacled Perpendicular tower.
Tideswell is one of the towns that has annual well dressing.
