Thoresby
Thoresby is an estate in Nottinghamshire, in the district known as the Dukeries.
Thoresby Hall, now a hotel, is an impressive house that was built by Anthony Salvin in the 1870s. It is the the third house built here, the first one having been burnt down in 1745 and its replacement abandoned, having been built too near the water.
There are extensive gardens.
Nearby is a museum of militaria.
