Stow-in-Lindsey
Stow-in-Lindsey is a village in Lincolnshire, 4 miles from Saxilby, just off the Roman Tillbridge Lane.
It is usually known as simply Stow.
St. Mary`s Church is outstanding, with lofty Anglo-Saxon arches, early Norman nave and later Norman chancel. On a 7th century church site, it was rebuilt with financial aid from Godiva of Mercia.
This was a minster church, and was the cathedral, before this was moved to Lincoln.
