Shearsby
Shearsby is a village in Leicestershire, 8 miles from Leicester.
It is just off the mediaeval route between Leicester and Northampton.
St. Mary Magdalene Church, basically mediaeval, has an 18th century West tower, and was largely rebuilt in the 19th century.
The Yeoman`s House dates from the 17th century.
Shearsby Bath, now a hotel, is a remnant of the unsuccessful attempt around 1800 to promote Shearsby as a spa.
