Little Stretton
Little Stretton is a village in Leicestershire, 2 miles from Great Glen.
As the name implies, it is close to a Roman road, being just off the Via Devana (known locally as the Gartree Road) which ran between Leicester and Colchester.
It is on the edge of the sparsely populated area known as High Leicestershire.
St. John the Baptist Church dates back to the 13th century, and is mostly built of the local ironstone, with a Tudor brick porch.
