Colin Crosby Heritage Tours

Duffield

Duffield is a small town in Derbyshire, in the lovely Derwent Valley and 5 miles from Derby.

The parish church is some way from the town centre, and was probably sited beside a former main road.

There are scant remains of the large Duffield Castle, built in the Norman period.

Duffield Hall dates from the 17th century.

The Millennium Meadow was created by local people in the angle formed by the confluence of the rivers Ecclesbourne and Derwent in 2000.

The restored Ecclesbourne Valley Railway runs between Duffield and Wirksworth.

Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby is available to lead Guided Walks around Duffield for groups.
