Denby
Denby is a village in Derbyshire, 3 miles from Ripley.
It is not far from the lovely River Derwent, and the beginnings of the Peak District.
The village is best known for Denby Pottery, which in addition to making pottery has factory tours, a visitor centre, restaurant and factory shop.
Denby was the birthplace in 1646 of John Flamsteed, the first Astronomer Royal.
