Corsham
Corsham is a very attractive town in Wiltshire, 4 miles from Chippenham.
The town centre is a treasure trove of stone houses, many dating back to the 17th century.
The Town Hall was built in 1784.
St. Bartholomew`s Church dates partly from the 12th century.
Corsham Court, just off the High Street and beside the church, is Elizabethan, but on a Saxon manorial site. It stands in a fine park, the work of both Capability Brown and Thomas Repton.
The Underground Quarry Centre is a quarry for Bath stone.
Corsham was used for filming in scenes for "Poldark", playing the part of Truro.
