Clumber Park
Clumber Park is an estate in Nottinghamshire, 4 miles from Worksop and at the heart of Sherwood Forest. It is in the area known as the Dukeries.
The estate is now owned by the National Trust, and was the former home of the Dukes of Newcastle.
The house, built in 1770, was demolished in 1938, but there are gardens and outbuildings, as well as a very picturesque lake.
St. Mary's Chapel, built for the Duke in 1889, is largely the work of G. F. Bodley.
Dukes Drive, a double avenue of limes, is nearly 3 miles long.
Across the main road is the Clumber Park Hotel.
