Beeleigh
Beeleigh is a hamlet in Essex, 1 mile from Maldon.
Beeleigh Abbey, a Premonstratensian house, dates from 1180. Its remains are incorporated into an attractive partly timber framed house, constructed after the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the 16th century.
On the complicated waterways formed by the Rivers Blackwater and Chelmer and a canal are the extensive remains of a watermill.
