Colin Crosby Heritage Tours

Worcester (A Coach Trip in Worcester)

"Worcester" is a Coach Trip devised and led by Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours, the well known Blue Badge Guide.

These excursions are a very good way of soaking up some Local History.

The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester City Centre at 8am, returning at about 9pm.

Colin gives his customary commentary along the way, explaining the interesting sights and places encountered during the journey. This is one of the aspects that make Colin`s trips unique.

Worcester is a historic cathedral city on the River Severn. Along with Hereford and Gloucester, it is one of the cities which take it in turns to host the Three Choirs Festival.

It has the title "The Faithful City", given in recognition of its loyalty to the crown during the Civil War, and is also famous for Royal Worcester Porcelain and Worcestershire sauce, while the county cricket ground is one of the most beautiful to be found anywhere.

Colin leads a Guided Walk around Worcester in his own inimitable style, pointing out many places of interest, including the lovely Worcester Cathedral, the splendid baroque Guildhall, the Edward Elgar Statue and several historic churches and picturesque timber framed houses.
