Warwick and Coventry (A Coach Trip in Warwickshire)

"Warwick and Coventry" is a Coach Trip devised and led by Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours, the well known Blue Badge Guide.

These excursions are a most enjoyable way of soaking up some Local History.

The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester City Centre at 9am, returning about 7.30pm.

It is a two stop tour, visiting two very interesting old towns, Warwick and Coventry, with Colin giving his usual informative commentary along the way.

Although Coventry is now in the West Midlands county, both towns have historically been part of Warwickshire for centuries.

Warwick is an ancient market town, much visited for the iconic Warwick Castle and for the splendid St. Mary's Church.

Coventry's most famous building is the amazing Coventry Cathedral designed by Basil Spence and opened in the 1960s, beside the ruins of the old cathedral which received a direct hit during the Second World War.

There are many other old buildings, including the very old St. Marys Guildhall, and there is a fine Museum of British Road Transport.
