Stamford Area Tour (A Coach Trip in Stamford)

[An image showing Stamford Area Tour]"Stamford Area Tour" is one of the very popular Coach Trips devised and led by Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.

These excursions are a very enjoyable way of learning some Local History.

This is one of the morning trips, enjoyed by all but particularly by those who would rather not be out all day.

The coach leaves from St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester at 9.30am, and is due back about 2pm.

The format for these trips is that one stays on the coach for almost the whole journey, while Colin gives his inimitable commentary, but about halfway round a stop is made, so that refreshments can be bought.

This particular tour is around the Rutland and Lincolnshire area close to the outstanding mediaeval town of Stamford, with its beautiful stone buildings and superb collection of churches.

The refreshment stop is at Stamford, which was England`s first Conservation Area. There are plenty of good tea shops and restaurants in the town.
