Shrewsbury (A Coach Trip in Shrewsbury)
"Shrewsbury" is the destination for a Coach Trip devised and led by the well known Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.
These trips are an ideal way of picking up some Local History.
The coach departs from St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester City Centre at 8am, and returns at about 9pm.
Colin gives his usual inimitable commentary along the way, bringing sights and places encountered to life. This is one of the aspects that make Colin`s trips quite unique.
Shrewsbury is the county town of Shropshire, close to the Welsh border, and is almost completely surrounded by the River Severn. With its dramatic skyline and superb collection of black and white buildings, it is one of the outstanding towns of England.
Colin will be leading a Guided Walk around Shrewsbury, pointing out many places of interest, including St. Mary's Church, Shrewsbury Castle, the English Bridge, Welsh Bridge and Bear Steps, as well as the gravestone of Ebenezer Scrooge.
