Matlock Bath (A Coach Trip in Matlock Bath)
"Matlock Bath" is one of the many Coach Trips devised and led by the well known Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.
These excursions are a most enjoyable way to soak up some Local History.
The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester at 8am, and is expected back about 9pm.
Colin, as always, gives his own inimitable commentary as the coach wends its way through the delightful Derbyshire countryside on its way to Matlock Bath.
A feature of Colin`s trips to interesting towns is his Guided Walk, and of course he leads a walk around Matlock Bath, pointing out many places of interest.
Sometimes known as "Little Switzerland", and sometimes likened to a seaside town many miles inland, Matlock Bath is situated in a spectacular gorge through which flows the River Derwent. In the Autumn, it features Illuminations and an illuminated river carnival.
