Lancaster (A Coach Trip in Lancaster)
"Lancaster" is a Coach Trip devised and led by the well known Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.
These excursions are an excellent way of soaking up some Local History.
The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station, in Leicester City Centre, at 8am, and is expected back about 9pm.
Colin gives his customary commentary along the way, bringing to life the interesting places that are passed en route.
Lancaster is a fine old city on the River Lune, with an impressive castle, a Priory church close by, and some Roman remains. In addition, there are splendid views across Morecambe Bay to the mountains of the Lake District.
As part of the trip, Colin leads a Guided Walk around Lancaster, pointing out many places of interest, including Lancaster Castle, Lancaster Cathedral (Catholic) and the delightful St. Georges Quay.
