Knaresborough (A Coach Trip in Knaresborough)
"Knaresborough" is one of the very popular Coach Trips devised and led by the well known Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.
These trips are a first class way of getting to know some Local History.
The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station, in Leicester City Centre, at 8am, and is due back about 9pm.
Colin gives his inimitable commentary along the way, bring places and sights to life. This is one of the aspects that make Colin`s excursions quite unique.
Knaresborough is a picturesque old market town in Yorkshire, perched precariously above the gorge of the River Nidd. On the cliff edge stand the ruins of Knaresborough Castle, and the large Market Place contains England`s oldest chemist shop, while not far from the town centre is the famous Mother Shipton`s Cave.
Colin leads a Guided Walk around Knaresborough as part of the trip, pointing out lots of places of interest.
