Gloucester (A Coach Trip in Gloucester)
"Gloucester" is one of the popular Coach Trips devised and led by Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.
These excursions are an excellent way of getting to know some Local History.
The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester at 8am, and is expected to get back about 9pm.
Colin gives his customary commentary along the way, bringing places and sights to life. It is this that makes Colin`s trips quite unique.
Gloucester is a historic cathedral city on the River Severn. It was an important Roman town, and retains its Roman street pattern. In addition, the docks brought much prosperity from vessels coming up the Bristol Channel and canal.
Colin leads a Guided Walk around Gloucester as a part of the trip, pointing out lots of interesting places, including Gloucester Cathedral, Gloucester Docks, Bishop Hoopers Lodgings and the Tailor of Gloucester`s House.
