Fosse Way Tour (A Coach Trip in Cotswolds)

The "Fosse Way Tour" is one of the very popular Coach Trips devised and led by Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.

These excursions are an enjoyable way of soaking up some Local History.

This is a Sunday afternoon excursion, allowing those with other priorities on a Sunday morning (notably, of course, going to church) to do both. And of course on a Sunday public transport gets more frequent as the day progresses.

The tour traverses part of the Fosse Way, one of the most famous of the Roman roads, which ran from Lincoln, through Leicester and the Cotswolds, to Exeter.

The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station, in Leicester City Centre, at 1pm, and returns about 8pm.

Colin gives his usual commentary along the way, pointing out places of interest and giving an idea of their history and background. This is one the aspects that makes Colin's tours unique.

There is a stop for a couple of hours during the afternoon at Bourton-on-the-Water, one of the most popular and picturesque places in the Cotswolds, where there is a plentiful supply of teashops.
