Durham (A Coach Trip in Durham)
"Durham" is one of the many Coach Trips devised and led by the well known Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.
These excursions are a first rate way of soaking up some Local History.
The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester at 8am, and is expected to arrive back about 9pm.
Along the way, Colin gives his customary commentary, bringing to life the fascinating sights and places encountered along the route. This is one of the things that make Colin`s trips quite unique.
Durham is a very historic and picturesque cathedral city in County Durham in the North East.
It is situated on a clifftop where the River Wear makes a dramatic bend, and is thus almost an island.
During the visit, Colin leads a Guided Walk around Durham in his inimitable manner, pointing out many places of interest, including Durham Cathedral; Durham Castle; the Market Place; and Prebend`s Bridge.
