Colchester (A Coach Trip in Colchester)
"Colchester" is a Coach Trip devised and led by the well known Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.
These walks are an enjoyable way of learning some Local History.
The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester City Centre at 8am, and is scheduled to return at about 9.30pm.
Colin gives his usual commentary along the way, bringing interesting sights and places encountered on the journey to life. This is one of the things that make Colin's trips unique.
Colchester, in Essex, is the oldest town in Britain. Not only was it an important Roman town, it was the capital of civilised Britain even before the Romans arrived. Nowhere else in the country can one marvel to the same extent at the breathtaking sweep of English history.
Colin will be leading a Guided Walk around Colchester in his inimitable manner, pointing out many places of interest, including Colchester Castle, St. Botolphs Priory, the Roman Walls, St. Johns Abbey Gatehouse and the Balkerne Gate.
And on the way, Colin, who is proud to be a native of the historic county of Essex, will be showing some of the county's beautiful towns and villages.
