Boston (A Coach Trip in Boston)
"Boston" is the destination of a Coach Trip devised and led by Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.
These excursions are an ideal way of soaking up some Local History.
The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester at 8am, and is due to return about 9pm.
Along the way, Colin gives his inimitable commentary, bringing towns and villages to life.
Boston is a historic market town, formerly an important seaport, in Lincolnshire.
It was founded by St. Botolph, and many of those who sailed on the "Mayflower" were for a time imprisoned here.
Colin leads a Guided Walk around Boston as part of this trip, pointing out many places of interest including the Blackfriars: the Market Place; and St. Botolph`s Church, known the world over as Boston Stump.
An added attraction for this trip is that it takes place on Boston`s Market Day.
