Anstey Bridges (A Guided Walk in Anstey)

"Anstey Bridges" is one of the very popular Guided Walks devised and led by the experienced Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.

These strolls are an enjoyable way of getting to know some Local History.

This particular walk links a number of bridges in and around the village of Anstey, which lies between Leicester and the attractive upland Charnwood Forest.

Anstey has a well known Packhorse Bridge that crosses the Rothley Brook close to the existing road to Leicester, and another, known locally as King William`s Bridge, which crosses the same brook a little downstream but is known only to walkers.

The walk also passes closes to the Knights Templar land at Castle Hill on the edge of Beaumont Leys.
