Talk on Leicester Factories
There was another talk at the Library Club recently, and as usual I attended.
The talks take place at the Central Lending Library in Belvoir Street, in Leicester City Centre, and are on a variety of fascinating subjects.
This time it was by Philip French, of the Museums Service, who spoke about Leicester factories in the days when it was said that "Leicester clothed the world".
Hosiery, boot and shoe, and children`s outfits took up a fair amount of the time.
