Shorelines a First for Southend
There is a short festival during July in Southend which is a world first.
"Shorelines" is the world`s first Literature Festival of the Sea, and as such should attract interest from people around the globe interested in either literature or the sea, or of course both.
The festival runs from July 15th to 17th, and all events take place in Chalkwell Park.
Talks, workshops, play, film, music, and a poetry competition for children.
Some of the events are free, while there is a weekend pass for a mere £20, giving entry to all the events.
Wish I was there!
