Lovely Weekend at Dunster
Anne and I had a lovely weekend recently at the exquisite little town of Dunster.
We were staying at the Yarn Market Hotel, with the historic Yarn Market outside our window, at the invitation of Antony Brunt, the hotel`s proprietor, along with another two couples who are also group travel organisers.
We travelled by train to Taunton, where we gave ourselves time to have a little look around, and were then picked up by car and driven to Dunster.
Before dinner on the Friday, we had a stroll around the little town, finding a nice teashop and visiting the impressive St. George`s Church.
Over dinner, we and the other guests were able to chat with Antony about the hotel and the surrounding area.
On the Saturday, Anne and I travelled on the West Somerset Railway, as guests of the railway. We travelled the whole length of the line, paying visits to Bishops Lydeard, Watchet, Washford and Minehead.
On the Sunday morning, we attended the service at St. George`s Church, and then came home to Leicester via Taunton.
We had a very nice weekend indeed, and hope to be able to visit there again before too long.
