Lions Tour Historic Cemetery
I recently led a private "Welford Road Cemetery" Guided Walk for Enderby Lions.
This historic cemetery in Leicester, opened in 1849, is one of the oldest in the country.
I began by discussing the need for a cemetery at that time, and why this particular site was chosen.
And then it was a tour of this large location, discussing some of the more interesting personages laid to rest there, including the world famous travel pioneer Thomas Cook.
I am always happy to lead this walk for groups. If you are interested, do get in touch.
