Leicester is Top City for Curry Houses
Another accolade has come the way of the wonderful multicultural city of Leicester, giving yet another good reason to visit the city.
A recent survey carried out by Cobra beer has shown that Leicester has more curry houses per head of population than any other city in the UK, beating such cities as London, Birmingham and Manchester.
Leicester was only beaten by the much smaller towns of Bromley, Epsom and Reading.
Furthermore, the county of Leicestershire had two representatives in the top ten, as Loughborough came ninth.
Leicester was officially named curry capital of Britain in 2007. With a great range of possibilities, there are plenty of well respected restaurants to choose from.
Our own favourite is probably the Curry Pot in Belgrave Road.
