Good Weekend in Yorkshire
My wife and I recently enjoyed a weekend Coach Tour in Yorkshire with National Holidays.
We left Leicester on the Saturday morning and travelled Northwards, stopping during the morning at Woolley Edge Services.
On arriving at Skipton, we had a ride on a narrow boat on the Leeds (Yorkshire) and Liverpool Canal, and had some free time in this excellent little town, finding time to visit the parish church.
We stayed overnight at the Campanile Hotel on the outskirts of Bradford.
On the Sunday morning, we went out to Grassington, a very pretty village, and then to Embsay, from where we rode on the steam railway to Bolton Abbey, visiting the beautiful ruins of Bolton Priory.
On the way back to Leicester, we made a stop at Woodall Services.
These weekends are a fine way of seeing some nice places, while being essentially off duty.
