Coach Tour of the Nottinghamshire Borders
A recent Coach Trip which I devised and led was the "Nottinghamshire Borders Tour".
This was one of the popular morning tours. We don`t go far, but everybody sees some lovely countryside and interesting towns and villages.
As always, we departed from St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester. We drove up the Fosse Way and viewed the historic town of Newark.
I always make a stop about halfway round, where tea, coffee, cakes etc can be bought. This is always in a place which is interesting in its own right. This time it was at the excellent refectory at Southwell Minster.
On the way back, we went through Nottingham, passing close to the City Centre.
Among the comments in my Visitors` Book were "a lovely tour - most interesting", "I was given the opportunity to visit places I had never seen before", "beautiful countryside and halt at an impressive cathedral" and "another happy trip and pleasant company".
I`m sure that you too would enjoy these trips!
