A Trip to Barmouth
During the Summer, I went on a Coach Trip to Barmouth.
This was part of the extensive programme of excursions put together by Woods Coaches of Leicester.
I go as a passenger on some of their trips sometimes. Even though I run my own programme, it is still nice to sit back, relax and enjoy without responsibilty!
After leaving St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester, we moved across into the West Midlands, and stopped at the posh new Motorway Services at Norton Canes.
From there, we moved into Wales, and made another stop at The Old Station at Welshpool.
After that, it was a pretty long journey across Wales, passing through some spectacular scenery and mountain passes, before arriving at the popular seaside resort of Barmouth.
I pottered around the town, visiting the interesting museum that features shipwrecks, viewing the impressive railway bridge over the river estuary, and eating chips.
On the way back, we stopped at Telford Services.
Did I enjoy it? Of course I did. Woods Coaches have good coaches and good drivers. That's why I hire coaches from the company for my own trips.
