St. Saviour`s Church (York)

St. Saviour`s Church is one of the many historic churches in York.

It is situated in St. Saviourgate.

There has been a church on this site since the 11th century. The present building dates from the 15th century, and was extensively remodelled in 1845.

It has now been refurbished and opened as DIG, an archaeological centre which introduces visitors to exploration, scientific study and conservation.
