Rowntree Park (York)

Rowntree Park is a heritage park in York.

The main entrance is in Terry Avenue.

It was originally given to the city of York by the Rowntree confectionery company in 1921, having been designed by Frederick Rowntree as a memorial to the Rowntree factory workers who were killed in the First World War.

The park`s features include a water canal, cascade and dovecote, as well as a large lake and woodland.
