Tide Mill (Woodbridge)

The Tide Mill is a historic building at Woodbridge in Suffolk.

It is a rare example of a tide mill, working by the action of the tide on the estuary of the River Deben.

A mill was first recorded on this site in the 12th century.

It was in operation until 1957, when the wheel broke. This has now been restored to full working order.

The machinery can be viewed at low tide.
