Jane Austen`s House (Winchester)
Jane Austen`s House is a modest 18th century house in Winchester, where the famous novelist once lived.
It is situated in College Street, near Winchester College and almost opposite Kingsgate.
Jane moved into the house in 1817 to be near her doctor. She spent her last few months in the house and died in it.
She has a memorial in Winchester Cathedral.
