RNLI Whitby Lifeboat Museum (Whitby)
The RNLI Whitby Lifeboat Museum is one of the fascinating attractions at the old maritime town of Whitby in Yorkshire.
It has exhibits relating to the Whitby lifeboats, very necessary on this coast.
The main exhibit is the "Robert and Ellen Robson", which was built in 1918. It was the last example of a pulling lifeboat, having ten oarsmen out of a crew of thirteen, and was finally taken out of service in 1957.
