Milton Lodge Gardens (Wells)

Milton Lodge Gardens are splendid gardens in the delightful little cathedral city of Wells.

They are situated in Old Bristol Road on the edge of the city.

The teraced gardens were created in 1909, and have a position high up on the slopes of the Mendips with superb views across to Wells Cathedral.

They were replanted in 1962 with mixed shrubs and herbaceous plants, as well as old fashioned roses and making use of long established yew hedges.

There is a 7 acre Arboretum.
