Holy Rood Church (Watford)

Holy Rood Church is a Catholic church in Watford.

It was built in the 1880s. The architect was J. F. Bentley, who did not design many churches but was the architect of the outstanding Westminster Cathedral (Catholic).

The Victorian furnishings are excellent, and outstanding is Bentley`s rood beam.

The art nouveau light fittings were installed in 1899.
