Pavilion (Torquay)
The Pavilion is a distinctive building on the seafront at Torquay, with a fine position on the harbour.
It was designed by Edward Rogers in 1896, but construction was delayed and it was completed after his death by the Borough Engineer, Henry Augustus Garrett between 1911 and 1912.
The Pailion is a steel framed building clad in white Doulton Carraraware with banded decoration in pale green.
The Pavilion was under threat of demolition in the early 1970s, but remodelled as a shopping arcade in 1986 - 87.
