Merchant`s House (Tewkesbury)
The Merchant`s House is a mediaeval house at Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire.
It is situated in Church Street.
Dating back to the 15th century, a little before the Dissolution of the Monasteries, it was built by Tewkesbury Abbey.
The house is part of a row, saved from demolition by the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings in 1965.
It has been restored to its state when it was that of a shopkeeper, essentially one up one down, with a frontage directly onto the street.
