Castle of St. John (Stranraer)
The Castle of St. John is a historic building at Stranraer in the South West of Scotland, in the county of Dumfries and Galloway.
It is situated in the town centre, not far from the harbour.
The castle is a well preserved 16th century tower house, built on an L - plan.
It now functions as a museum dedicated to prisons and their history.
