All Saints Church (Stisted)

All Saints Church is the parish church of the little village of Stisted in Essex.

It dates from the Norman period, with a North arcade having been built about 1180. There are windows from the 14th century.

All Saints has an odd look externally, largely caused by the unusual positioning of the tower, built with a shingle spire in 1844 at the East end of the South aisle.

There is a painting, "The Adoration of the Magi", by Gaspar de Crayer.
