Southwell Workhouse (Southwell)
Southwell Workhouse is a historic building at Southwell in Nottinghamshire.
It is situated in Upton Road.
The Workhouse was built in 1824 by local man Rev John Becher, a social reformer, using more humane methods than before.
He built the Workhouse in a pink brick, overlooking the fields outside the town, with the towers of Southwell Minster as a backdrop.
It is now in the hands of the National Trust.
